In winter-- don't forget to see some of the thousands of Bald Eagles parked along the Squamish River and its tributaries eating salmon. Consider a float tour down the Squamish River or a horseback riding tour to truly get the best views.
There are also some salmon spawning channels near the hotel and at the right time of year you can get a very close up view of one of natures wonders. You can also check out the Tenderfoot Fish Hatchery in Paradise Valley.
The West Coast Railway Heritage Park hosts the Royal Hudson, and other amazing railway attractions if trains are your thing. The BC Museum of Mining at Britannia Beach was once the largest copper mine in the British Empire, this mine is now a museum and historic site offering great insight into how mining was conducted in the past and a chance to pan for gold. Mountain biking - Squamish has an amazing array of mountain biking trails suitable to all levels of ability. You can rent mountain bikes at Tantalus bike shop, within easy walking disance of the Sea to Sky Hotel. Alice Lake - A great year round destination. Here you will find excellent moderate walking trails, ranging from short nature walks to the extremely pleasant 6 - 8 km Four Lakes Trail. If the weather is right, there are a couple of great beaches for young children, and a fairly good playground. And if you planned to camp at Alice Lake, but it is raining too hard, you can definitely come to the Sea to Sky Hotel. Playgrounds - There are some great playgrounds in Squamish for younger kids, including one at Mamquam Elementary School, which is right over the Highway Overpass from the Sea to Sky Hotel. Front Desk Staff can also direct you to great parks at Squamish Elementary School or Highlands Elementary. 
The Pool - Brennan Park Leisure Centre has a great swimming pool, with excellent facilities for younger children and a very nice hot tub and sauna as well. Located just a couple of km south of the Sea to Sky Hotel. Introduction to climbing: There are great facilities in Squamish to try out Climbing for the beginner -- A fantastic way for kids to safely try out this exciting sport. Try Slipstream (www.getclimbing.com) And of course, if you are in the area for the first weekend in August, then you and the family can enjoy the Loggers Sports show at Squamish Days. Rafting and horseback riding are also great and popular family activities for those visiting Squamish.
